![]() ![]() So this year, if you’re feeling creatively fried, emotionally exhausted, distracted by the election, or just plain burnt out, try spending November replenishing yourself artistically.Ĭonsume culture. And while NaNoWriMo and Tara’s own PiBoIdMo are fantastic ways to light a fire under your butt and get words on the page, it’s just as important for writers to spend time…well, not writing. Writing a novel in a month is even harder. In fact, we even created a Twitter account for it and spent the month of November that year tweeting about all the things we were doing instead of writing a novel. There were several hiking trails.A few years ago, my friend and I joked that there should be a National Don’t Write a Novel Month. The shower house/bathroom itself, while being older, as also always crowded, and the bathroom and shower stalls seemed to be always dirty they weren't nearly as clean as the lower level, and didn't seem to get the TLC that we see at other parks. There was a much different "vibe" here (although admittedly extremely shaded). We had a spot on the "upper" campground, near the older shower house/restrooms. ![]() However, we liked this area the best of the campground. The downside is that there is very little shade in this area, so if that's important (or if it's very hot), the lower area may not be for you. The "lower" campground, by the lakefront, had a very modern and updated shower/bathroom building, lake views and access, and very much a friendly, open vibe. ![]() We enjoyed our stay at the Bruin Lake campground.although it felt like there were two different camping experiences available here! Generally, we have great experiences camping at state parks. ![]()
